Hi Scott,

I dont know about dnssec, how it works etc., I came to know about dnsmasq when I was going into a ADSL modem and stunned to see this little beasty providing IP address to me. Then I realized DNSMasq ability and immediately configured for my purpose. Any thanks for your reply.

Awesome Detailed explanation for DNSMasq usage on a Small Home network.
I am a newbie to the *nix administration environment and it was written in a manner in which a
“newcommer” could configure and modify your example “hosts & dnsmasq.conf” to not only provide the DNS and DHCP but also resolve the http:// information .

what option you put on –binary-images? may be you can check ‘man lb-config’ to know what is the right option to put in –binary-images to build usb-hdd image.

Hi!

Thank you for the post, it’s excellent.
Nevertheless, I am not able to do what you explain. I do the same lb config (except for the pakage-list, where I choosed lxde). But then there is no binary.img created. Only initrd1.img, initrd2.img (both of them of 10MB), filesystem.squahfs (400MB), vmlinuz1 and vmlinuz2 (both of 230Kb) and some other little files, but no binary.img.

Then I tried to build a iso image and I got a binary.iso … but it’s not what I need because I need something persistant.

Can you give me a piece of advice, please?

No idea mate, AFAIK, there is no package created by reliance for linux. You have to use NetworkManager/Wvdial/PPPConfig or some other way to use your Reliance dongle.

If you are new to linux, welcome to the jungle, here food will not be served, you have to go and get it.
